This complete renovation/ addition to a 1950's suburban ranch house located on an under-utilized site adjacent to a unique and protected watershed included the design of a new terraced hillside garden and pool that encourages an informal indoor/outdoor lifestyle. The house incorporates sustainable materials and passive and active solar systems such as deep roof overhangs, trellises, sliding solar screens, and solar-assisted radiant heating.
