Located in the desert landscape of Southern California, this project involved the addition of a master wing and an art/sculpture gallery to a modernist 1950's house. The design incorporates an animated roof of folded planes that marks the gallery, aluminum and recycled steel windows with new ribbed, frosted, and colored glass, and large overhangs and a trellis to provide shade from the hot desert sun.
